They've got Zambrotta and Cannavaro who are getting old, Chiellini (whom I don't know much about, I must admit), plus a bunch of young unknowns playing for lesser teams. And their best player overall (Pirlo, in case you had any doubt) is reported to be semi-injured, or entirely injured, I haven't been following it that closely.

Of course, their attack isn't much better. Unless some unknown players step up big time and make themselves a name at this World Cup, Italy isn't going to get too far, and I can't see them holding off Spain.
