Yeah, they just add it to your term tuition statement-- there is no way around it

I need to read up on the sign and see what my legal options are. I am not beyond quietly threatening the school as I believe this is an injustice to the students. I am fine that they have mandatory health insurance, but it is crazy that they do not let students decide their own health insurance policy. This thing is especially sketchy since the school stands to profit via their health clinic system that they have set up for students. They want to force us to have health insurance with no co-pays or very low co-pays and deductibles so that we frequently go to their health center.
However, I would prefer to resolve this without making a ruckus as I do not want to become a target at the school.

Probably impossible to answer without seeing any contract you have to sign before you attend.

I think they will just add it to his term bill in that case.

That is exactly what they will do, except they offer no waiver in my position

I did contact them and they said they can't have healthy patients opt out of their plan

I'd be curious to see what sort of ties can be found between the school, or some of its board...

Except not, because he already has a provider. Good try, but not really. Try again. *NM*

you might think that is true but it is likely the insurance he has won't be allowed under Obamacare
