I honestly don't see a problem with the ruling if there is such a law. The law has to be overturned, since it is stupid and intolerant, but the ruling that the law should be followed is not in itself a stupid thing.
Now, everyone will blame each other for a while, and in a few months the law will be changed. IT is probably true that they'll delay the changing of said law a bit longer due to the recent circumstances, but they will not allow it to stand...
