...that they're trying to do the whole "nothing to see here, move along, move along" bit. Clearly, there is quite a bit to see there. Also, what reason could they have for trying to prevent reporters and photographers from trying to do flyovers of the beaches and the Gulf itself? The public has a right to see and know what is going and not just what BP and the government want us to know.


But yeah, I don't know why else they'd do it, either. I take it that now that there's a controversy about it, they'll have to justify their policies.


The Obama administration is taking quite a bit of heat over the spill and the less we see, they happier they are. I'm also sure BP is using every bit of leverage and cajolery they have in order to make sure the current media freeze-out is maintained.
