Kind of a special case. I'm not even sure how much aid and comfort the Soviets gave Cuba after that, but it's certainly a moot point now. In fact, it's kind of a big hole in the "America wants to conquer the world" theory that the US military could roll over Cuba in a day, and it would make hundreds of thousands of Cuban expatriates in FL very happy, but we've never even considered it.
