Why should other countries respect or obey international law when the U.S. and Israel don't? How can Israel or the U.S. on the behalf of Israel argue with a straight face that Iran should be penalized and forbidden under international law for trying to build nukes when Israel so blatantly breaks international law and gets away with it because we block any punishment? They couldn't have just waited until the ships were in Israeli waters?
...when the Chinese agreed to drop resistance for a new round of sanctions on Iran. That would be the RMB's peg to the dollar. A quid pro quo agreement might have been reached. I would imagine access to Saudi fields might have been a part of the deal too. Rank speculation? Sure.
