To be fair to Obama I do like some of the cuts they are doing with DOD. Do we will need to spend 450million to a choice of engines for Joint Strike Fighter? Wasn't part of the idea behind them that we would have interchangeable parts and save inventory and logistics? Gates has even gone so far as to tell them to stop raising the military pay so much.
All that being said though I think he is pushing the country in the wrong direction on debt and he is trying to expand government’s role in way to many areas. The stimulus package was needed but it instead of a good solid bill designed to stimulate the economy we got a pork laden mess designed to push a social agenda. His health care reform is the real problem though, it didn't fix the problems it just expanded how many people were covered under a bad system.
