Anyway. I'm reinstalling Firefox addons. I'm using WOT(Web of Trust), Adblock Plus, noscript, Xmarks, Linkification, Multirowsbookmarkstoolbar, Smartbookmarksbar.

  1. Do you have any addons for firefox that you recommend?
  2. Can you recommend any greasemonkey scripts that I can use that aren't too complicated and I don't have to write myself?
  3. I know I had some changes in the about:config (mostly to limit the amount of ram firefox could use) but I don't remember them, any you would recommend?
  4. Can you recommend any search engines for firefox?

You sure as hell made that unquotable. I have some download statusbar thing and extended statusbar, but you covered most the important ones. You might want to consider flashblock or something like that. Also, a british english dictionary is to be preferred over the US one. ;) (dunno, perhaps noscript is a flashblocker too?)

Sorry, didn't realize the list would do that.
I'm not sure, noscript shows no java unless I admit it. Of course I have the British English spell checker. ;)
I'm rather happy with the built in download statusbar, but will check it out.

As for greasemonkey... go to www.userscripts.org, and do a search for the webistes you visit most. Facebook fixer and facebook purity are both very good scripts, imo. I also use favicons for google reader, but you'd have to use that website for it to be useful.

Yeah. I have been installing some things for facebook. :)

Search engines... I only use the normal ones. google, wikipedia (en, se), dicitonary.com, eniro personer, eniro kartor, imdb, youtube...

Forgot about wikipedia se and eniro, good ideas.

More questions, general computers, windows

  1. Can you recommend any programs to keep my windows clean
  2. Can you recommend any free registry cleaner?
  3. Can you recommend anything else I should use

Ubuntu?

That's what started my problems. ;) But I'd consider it again if I didn't play games.

Yes. It has gotten a bit redundant though, perhaps. *NM* - 08/09/2009 12:03:11 AM 225 Views
