don't you need a government first?
Let me make clear, I'm no advocate of separatism or splitting Belgium up. But I'd say on the contrary, such things are more likely to happen if we simply fail to get a government, fail to find even that much consensus between the regions.
But seriously, what do you think the Belgians would do with the king?
If Wallonia and Brussels remained together, he'd remain king of that country, I'd imagine. If not, well, it wouldn't be the first monarchy to come to an end. He could join the swelling ranks of the people who would be king if their country was still a monarchy. Nearly two centuries after the end of the French monarchy, we still have the Count of Paris, the man who would be king if France had a king. Belgium would be the same way I imagine (except it wouldn't even exist anymore).
So the list of countries using the euro will grow longer, not shorter... Estonia to join in 2011
