I did this just a couple days ago on my new mac mini

I recently bought an iMac and want to install a copy of Windows 7 (so I can play PC games). I bought the full version (not the upgrade) and tried to install it, but I can't get Windows to actually start. After the installation process and some reboots that setup tells me are normal, the screen says "Starting Windows" with some cool flashing lights and then the screen just goes black and nothing ever loads. It won't let me start the comp in safe mode either. I try to start Windows by selecting the windows partition but nothing happens: the screen remains blank.
Please help me! I don't want to take this into Bestbuy to spend a crazy amount of money just to have someone install Windows for me. This shouldn't be difficult, Microsoft.
Thanks in advance!

You did this via bootcamp, right? Did you try erasing the partition and starting again from scratch?
For me the process went pretty smoothly. Not sure what else to suggest without actually knowing more about your computer.
What version of OS X are you running?
Need help installing Windows 7

Don't blame Microsoft. You're the one trying to put it on a Mac. *NM*

Hard to play tech support sight unseen, but I might know what this is about.
