You could be speaking to the hobgoblins.
Diplomacy is an important skill.
I'm sure if I were addressing a group of hobgoblins I'd know it; context is key. However, per my final note, perhaps "Suppose that I like owlbears; you, hobgoblins" should also work without ambiguity.
Not to mention that it is an entirely cumbersome and horrid way to write a sentence when it comes to readability.
