I've spent half my life in Canada and half in the US. I've been involved with both medical systems pretty intently on occasion. The Canadian system (for all its warts and yes it does have some) I very strongly feel is the better of the two.

However, that doesn't make the legislation good just because it wants to go more that way. The devil is in the details.

And I'd have made it retroactive and restored the benefits and careers of anyone who got kicked out over this idiot policy too.

That would be awesomely cool.


From where I sit, it would be the right thing to do. The Free World needs every person who has the courage and determination to serve. Who they are boinking is quite simply entirely irrelevant and mistreating people is just wrong. Period.

I know, I kept using "men" in my comments. I didn't know there was a lesbian there. Where possible, women can definitely make great soldiers, straight or lesbian.

Perhaps I blocked the lesbian out 'cause that just ain't right. It's such a perversion to either not have a cock or not love cock.


Well that particular woman wasn't lesbian that I know of (although like many folks from her time she might well have been bi). I was just making the point. Anyone with the courage and determination to serve should be allowed to. Gay, straight, male, female, white, black, blue, purple, you name it.
