.....and you didn't even address my questions, oh well, I guess I am asking for too much.
Which doesn't make those answers irrelevant, but not having them doesn't invalidate my position either. It's a bit like responding with "we should cure the whooping cough epidemic" by saying "just how many people HAVE whooping cough? What pathogen causes it? What are the treatment options? Huh, huh, answer me that!!!" All important questions, but their importance rests on the validity of the underlying goal of curing whooping cough.
"Get with the times; if you really want to break the backs of the working poor"
Please point out from my posts your justification for saying this.....thank you.
Please point out from my posts your justification for saying this.....thank you.
"40% of Americans don't pay ANY INCOME taxes.....and I am not paying my fair share? Care to comment on this?" is probably the best example, the implication, consistent with your other posts here, being that it is THEY rather than YOU who aren't paying their fair share. Despite the fact I never said you aren't paying your fair share; YOU aren't the problem, at least not as such. The problem is welfare for the independently wealthy, and their success in selling it by convincing people like you attacks on it are attacks on you. The people I'm talking about don't think twice about the cost of daycare (that's why nannys exist, after all) and if both spouses are working it's because they enjoy it, not because it's the only way to pay their bills. And while you're certainly entitled to disagree, I contend it's their refusal to pay more income taxes that increase your tax burden, not the people working two jobs to feed their kids.
