Someone else in this post who 1. understands American history(after all this country was founded on breaking the rules; otherwise we would all still be part of the UK and 2. can understand that one can not just look from a close up view and needs to take the big picture view.

I wonder if people really think that women, for instance, got enfranchised by following the rules at first.
