Haven't posted about it here, but I think its worth reading. Like Tavi said, there are some parts that are a little bit on the slow side, but I liked it from a pacing stand point and it was a quick read.
My biggest complaint was that the magic / magical elements were kind of underdeveloped and overly convenient. They came through based on whatever the current situation needed, but there are a lot of lingering questions about why and how stuff happened (especially in the second 2).
All in all worth checking out, but not if you're looking for something extremely deep.
I will give the Black Prism a try when it comes out. Sounds a little bit like Warbreaker though, with the color emphasis in the magic system.

Brent Weeks. Is there a reason I've heard of him?

I'd start with the library too. Should have them and save $8. *NM*

His NA Trilogy was good, though a little Young Adult-ish *NM*

Yep, definitely enough funny business to keep it off the YA shelves! *NM*
