Orbit has released the first three chapters of his new book, and I'm trying to work out who's told me about him.
Was it one of you Rafonauts?
If not, but you read his stuff: should I give his books a try? I'm not convinced by these chapters...

I read his Night Angel trilogy last year, and thought it was pretty decent. A couple of slow spots in some areas, and a couple of things from his last book weren't explained in any kind of logical way. I know, it's not the most stellar review in the world. I'd give him a solid 6 of 10. Better than Goodkind or Paolini, nowhere near the playing level of Sanderson, Butcher, or Martin.
I read the sample, and I'm in the same boat you are. I'm not really impressed. I'll probably wait to get it from the library.
Brent Weeks. Is there a reason I've heard of him?

I'd start with the library too. Should have them and save $8. *NM*

His NA Trilogy was good, though a little Young Adult-ish *NM*

Yep, definitely enough funny business to keep it off the YA shelves! *NM*
