Between it and the foreword in the book I am getting more out of it than I might have otherwise. Without either I still would be getting a lot out of it.

I watched about three quarters of the movie a few weeks ago and it had left me with mixed feelings. I wasn't sure that I really wanted to read the book. It was beautifully filmed but left a bad taste in my mouth.

The book is very different to me. It is a little treasure trove. I will probably mark the best parts the next time I read it. Sorry if that seems like desecration to you but some of the quotes and descriptions beg to be underlined or highlighted.

I am still not finished and it is not a fast read. Every so often I have to stop and look up a work or google something I am reading about. And sometimes I just want to set the book down and consider what I just read.

I was a little late to work this morning because I didn't put it down in time. It wasn't that something exciting was happening as much as it was a compelling description of the people involved...oh never mind. I am rambling.

I am enjoying it. Thank you for getting me to read it.
