I think it's called trade paper? actually, come to think about it I don't know if I've ever seen any Erikson books in hardcover except GotM which I lucked on in a Barnes and Noble in the clearance section. I think I've always seen the trade paper style or the smaller paperback.
Generally, I think that trade paperback is usually what I see in the stores as well. But I do most of my purchasing online anymore. I have not had any trouble finding the other books in hardcover online, though. I have come to suspect that this book was never printed in hardcover in the states. Either that or it had an extremely limited print run and they have no intent to do a second edition.
