So, I heard a lot of really great arguments both for and against the ebook revolution. In the end, though, I'm still left with a few questions. I didn't directly ask them, but I figure that this site has a bunch of smarty pants that can help me out.
Does anyone know how much an author receives from the sale of an ebook versus the sale of a hardback or paperback? If you don't know, and you have the connections (which I wish I did) could you find out for me? I'd love to see the numbers, just to get a better idea of how things are going for authors with ebooks.
What do you think about the war going on between Sony and Amazon over the epub format? If you're not familiar with what's going down, the link below should at least give you some idea what's going on.
Basically, Amazon is playing the same game that iTunes was a while back, only able to read amazon ebooks on the Kindle. Sony, and Google, are pushing for an open standard, the Epub format, that would allow books from any publisher to be read on Sony's e-reader, as long as it was in the Epub format.
That's all, folks, and thanks for an amazing discussion of ebooks. This community rocks. Go out and buy yourself some ice cream for being so cool.

True, but that's just irritating as hell. And, of course, it will inhibit adoption.
