Good Omens is a novel remarkable for it's lovely, lovely prose. Very few of its characters are multifaceted, or deep - GO is a novel of its plot, and its narrative.
This is not a bad thing. But in a longer novel, or a series? We would not be so impressed. GO works because of its compact, stand alone structure. And it works beautifully.

I agree.
