The Fall kind of struck me the same way; stylistically it was interesting but left me with a pretty lukewarm feeling. The Plague grabbed me a lot more, though, i guess because there's a fairly realistic situation involved, and it would definitely be an interesting scenario to show how people confront nearly inevitable death. It's becoming clear to me that even his "novels" are more just convenient places to espouse certain ideas about the difficulty of life, which is what i am really interested in and why i keep reading.
Camus.

I'm starting L'Etranger, but it's going to take me the semester to read it.

Yeah. Although the edition we're reading took out 4 "objectionable sentences."

That's dumb. Who gave you that edition and what could be so bad about those sentences?

I'm really curious now which four sentences, though it's been a while since I read the book. *NM*

Imagine how I feel. I'm hoping they at least make a mention of where they took it out. *NM*
