I saw one for the first time ever last month. Books being advertised on TV is so strange. *NM* Ghavrel Send a noteboard - 15/01/2010 05:25:41 AM
This is the first I have heard of the phenomenon.
It strikes me as a little odd, but not completely insane.
I won't speculate as to what this says about our culture or our attitude to books (in part because I still buy books mainly based on author, cover and blurb -- and sometimes how they smell), as I am ill and my brain does not work properly. Feel free to weigh in, though.
