I am always underestimating how long it will take me.
My other problem is that I am most in the mood to talk about the book while I am reading it. Not neccessarily as much after I have finished. Is that odd?

I agree but it's not easy to avoid spoilers unless you clearly state where to stop. Even then there will be people who read ahead and people who already read the book before so...
