Not read (w/ comments):

Saturn's Children (by Charles Stross) - no interest, I don't like Stross

Caeser: Let the Dice Fly (Colleen McCullough) - I see you like this author. This is historical fiction, right? Good stuff?

Red Seas Under Red Skies (Scott Lynch) - unlike everyone else, I didn't love the 1st book (it was ok, not great), and heard that this one was weaker, and I also don't love sea stories.

Off Armageddon Reef (David Weber) - on my shelf. Was this good?

The Steel Remains (Richard K. Morgan) - I've given Morgan two tries, with with Altered Carbon and then with Thirteen, and I can't stand his attitude and the retardedly misogynistic things he sometimes says.

The Temporal Void (Peter F. Hamilton) - I don't even remember. This is the sequel to The Dreaming Void? I liked that one less than Pandora's Box duology. Was this good?

Lamentation (Ken Scholes) - this looks interesting. Is it good?

This Is Not A Game (Walter Jon Williams) - how was this? Walter Jon Williams made the list of my favorite authors this year based on what I've been reading of him, every book I've picked up so far impressed the heck out of me.

Firestar (Michael Flynn) - I have this book. How is it?

Lord Valentine's Castle (Robert Silverberg) - is this good? I've been meaning to read more of Silverberg. Read Nightwings this year, that was good.

The Algebraist (Iain M. Banks) - it's on my shelf. I heard it's weaker than most of his books.

Read:

Mote in God's Eye (Larry Niven & Jerry Pournelle)

Anathem (Neal Stephenson) - read this year. Bloated slug of a novel.

Glasshouse (Charles Stross) - read a few years ago. Really hated it.

On Basilisk Station (David Weber) - this is the first Honor book, right? Then I read it. It was ok, but I didn't feel compelled to read the rest of the series. Do they get better as they go on? I did love his Path of the Fury.

Hunting Party (Elizabeth Moon) - I didn't finish it. I liked the 1st part that was on the ship, but when the action switched to the planet, the change of pace lost me. And I never read any of Moon's other military SF. Is it great?

The Sheepfarmer's Daughter (Elizabeth Moon)
Divided Allegiance (Elizabeth Moon)
Oath of Gold (Elizabeth Moon) - I read this in a omnibus edition. Pretty good, although a tad weird/preachy at the very end.

The Magic of Recluce (L.E. Modesitt, Jr.) - pretty awful/juvenile IMO

The Gathering Storm (Robert Jordan & Brandon Sanderson) - that was good, but I skipped the Rand storyline because I had ot know what happens in the White Tower and I also had to go to work in the morning. I look forward to reading the rest of it, as everyone said Rand's story was great.
