I am semi-fluent in Spanish, and I went to the Island of Mauritius this Fall, where they speak a French Creole language. It took me a few days, but I was eventually understanding the spoken language.
I am able to piece together written french fairly easily. I do use a dictionary as needed, but the basics are fairly easy to pick up when you already know one Romance Language.
Really, that goes for all of them. I can understand the basics of spoken Italian and Portuguese as well.
Personally, I think Spanish is the easiest of the Romance Languages because it is so phonetic. Each letter primarily makes the sound that it should make, and there are very few silent letters.
That said, German could be fun. I also spent some time in South Africa, and learned some Afrikans, which I'm told is closely related to German.

I vote German. It's the closest that I I come to "speaking" another language.

We all have our own prejudices for suggesting languages. Of the three, I suggest French.
