I vote German. It's the closest that I I come to "speaking" another language.

Meaning, if I were suddenly snatched up and carried off to Germany I could get by with basic conversation. I also can recite several poems, not that it's ANY help whatsoever. Pretty sure Germans would just blink in surprise at some crazy American giving them an impromptu rendition of "Die Lorelei."
OK linguaphiles and intelligentsia of RAFO, which language should I learn?
