It has been awhile since I read that one, but it seems *NM*

I don't care much for Karsa Orlong. But since I liked the previous books;
Am I going to like Karsa Orlong as the book progresses? Should I just keep reading? Should I only read the parts that don't feature Karsa Orlong? Should I just start with the next book? (Midnight Tides?) Or should I just pray Dance of Dragons will be here soon?
That I didn't care for him at all at the first. I didn't find many redeeming qualities. But I think I warmed up to him slightly later or at least the story line didn't leave me so cold. Something got better because I don't remember dreading his parts by the end.

I'm having some trouble with House of Chains.

Well, he'll get a smaller role, but you need to read the bits about him

I've always had trouble getting past Memories of Ice and into House of Chains

You might wanna consider skipping ahead to the main storyline, then.
