And no, I'm not saying it out of outrage. I read the book before I became aware of the ccontroversy, and couldn't really care. But the book is bad, and considering she has so many brilliant books, it baffles me that this is the one consistently mentioned.

That is true. It is still a decent book though, despite not being her best.
