The only one on his list I would think about agreeing with is Meiville. - Edit 2

Lev Grossman started this, now see the interesting debate over possible choices over at Crooked Timber. Oh, and feel free to list yours here as well.

My list would include

The Wheel of Time - Jordan No other series has drawn me in and kept me reading (and re-reading) like this series.
A Song of Ice and Fire - Martin Nearly as good as WoT only with an author who seems to care less about his fans
Perdido Street Station - Mieville Still the only book to ever scare me.
Malazan Book of the Fallen - Erikson Aside from WoT, this is the series I have re-read the most.
LOTR - Tolkein - I loves my Precious!
American Gods - Gaiman - This was just an awesome way to portray ancient gods in modern times.

Yes, most were pimped on wotmania and with good reason. Notable mentions for me would include Hobb, Rawn, Pratchett, Sanderson, and Salvatore (say what you want, but I really enjoyed his Demon Wars novels and Mortalis alone outstanding)
