Discworld wizard. Magic and food, magic and food. *NM* Burr Send a noteboard - 28/11/2009 08:52:32 PM
I'm sure this was probably asked back in the old days at wotmania, and I know there was a similiar thread on the CMB a while ago (but for real world cultures/times), but I've been thinking about this for a while, and talking with some of my friends about it. So here goes.

If you had a machine that could transport you to any setting out of books or movies or TV, any science fiction or fantasy setting at all (and that setting became completely REAL for you), where would you want to go?

And once there, would you want to be part of any particular culture or group (even ones that you need "special powers" for)?

For instance, you could travel to "Randland" and if you chose to be an Aes Sedai or an Asha'man, or even an Ogier. Or travel to the Dune universe and be a Guild Navigator or a Mentat or Bene Gesserit.

If there are multiple choices that you are interested in, please feel free to include any and all.

Then, please explain why you chose this particular setting/group.
