and I keep buying the books some half a year after I notice they are out. The problem is that they are quite low profile around here, and I tend not to notice them for a while...
But it has been quite some time... I believe the first three books were published when I picked them up, which would make it pre 95 (which actually sounds a bit early... I'd have guessed 96... maybe I was only looking for paperbacks), and only 5 books since then is not a good rate.... I guess that is why I forget about it between books.
But I like slow moving tragic tales... not everyone does, I suppose.

1994-2007 = 8 books. Not brilliant but also not hideous.
4 of those were apparently out within 1½ years, and the rest of the time has been for the next 4...

The Wars of Light and Shadow ~ Janny Wurts. You should read them, truly.

I much prefered her Cycle of Fire trilogy. It had sorcery, spaceships, and aliens.
