Brave New World is a much better book then 1984

I never thought the books had all that much in common. They both have controlling governments and a form of dystopia but I think in theme they are very different.
1984 was about the horrors an authoritarian government could inflict with modern (for the time) technology. It was written to be an anti-communist book. I thought Brave New World was more about looking at what it means to be a human then about any particular ideology.
