Well, now that we have a new site, I thought I'd put up a link for any new folks who wander in, and a reminder for all the folks who have already become acquainted with the Challenge over the years.
Simply put - the 50-Book Challenge is a group of people who have decided to read fifty books in one year. That's it! No tricks, no hoops to jump through - it's easy as lyin'. Make your own rules.
Personally, I make it a point to read fifty books a year that I've never read before. I still keep track of the other books I read, but I don't count them towards my end-of-year total (though I do still keep a total page-count, for funsies). So far this year I'm at 30 new books and 10 rereads, for a page count of 17,201.
Anyway, below is a link to the Livejournal group that started it all. Hop on in!

“Myth is much more important and true than history. History is just journalism, and you know how reliable that is.
