And while I agree with your assesment that W & G is the cream of the crop in this series (and one of my 10 favorites of all time) I think you should go ahead and finish the saga.
The final book is an improvement over Wolves and Song and while there is a "conclusion" and then a warning to the reader, I for one, loved the final 10 pages of the book. Didn't love the ending prior to that, but loved the ending ending.
