The original, I mean. I'm not getting it. The thing I like is that it reminds me of the movie, but I'm not halfway through the book yet and the movie's already over.

Better?? The first half is wonderful!
I never thought I'd take the book's side as opposed to the movie's, but the film, while being decent, doesn't do it justice. The second half is a lot weirder, but equally awesome. The second film had a few aspects of the second half of the book, but that's about it.
