Saw the movie first, fell in love with it, then read the book.

I've only seen the movie, but was thinking of picking up the book, as books tend to be MUCH better than movies. I liked the movie, though. Wondering if anyone's read it. Thoughts?
I enjoyed the book, certainly, but it's much less "Hollywood-ified" than the movie. Which makes sense, but still. It didn't quite give me the same warm and fuzzy feeling inside that the movie did.
Of course, I own both, but I have watched the film countless times and only read the book once. So... this may have something to do with how I view them.
Taking a break from being Ella
Has anyone read Gaiman's "Stardust"
