If you enjoy Greek history, even Greek mythology, you should at least read a couple of Renault's novels.
I'd suggest the following:
The King Must Die (the early story of Theseus)
The Last of the Wine (Peloponnesian War Athens)
Fire from Heaven (The first in her Alexander trilogy)
Another great author is Steven Pressfield:
The Gates of Fire (Sparta and the Battle of Thermopylae)
The Tides of War (Peloponnesian War ... Alcibiades)
