Months? Werthead Send a noteboard - 08/10/2009 04:46:35 PM
He's only writing one episode per season and I would not be surprised if he only did this for the first season (as it should be after he finishes ADWD) and waived it for the later ones as he tries to finish THE WINDS OF WINTER in a faster timeframe than the last two books.

The rest of the time he doesn't really have that kind of presence. He won't be on-set the whole time (he's in Santa Fe, they're filming 5,000 miles away in Belfast) and most of the other decisions will be taken via email. For the most part he's letting David Benioff - an experienced and capable writer and producer in his own right - and Dan Weiss get on with their job as show-runners.

It's coming down to the wire. Again. - 07/10/2009 12:39:09 PM 737 Views
Would anyone else besides myself gladly give up the TV series for faster completion of the books? - 07/10/2009 12:43:20 PM 646 Views
Nope. - 07/10/2009 01:04:36 PM 641 Views
Yes. - 08/10/2009 12:59:22 AM 593 Views
I don't see how that would be relevent. If they canceled he might get disheartened. - 08/10/2009 05:07:23 AM 673 Views
Better that he be disheartened for a few weeks than have him spend months on scriptwriting, etc. - 08/10/2009 11:55:25 AM 590 Views

Yup. - 08/10/2009 11:43:23 PM 592 Views
I'm also guessing this means there's little chance of resolving the cliffhangers from Feast. - 07/10/2009 05:34:39 PM 664 Views
That would be my guess. - 07/10/2009 07:47:15 PM 732 Views
I think I need an electronic reading device.... - 08/10/2009 05:06:09 AM 602 Views
Not to worry, they'll be cheap by the time this book comes out *NM* - 08/10/2009 05:40:55 PM 227 Views
At this rate, they'll be obsolete. *NM* - 08/10/2009 10:40:34 PM 247 Views
