I confess I have never heard of her. Jonte will have to add her to the list of authors to read. Does anyone know her work?
From what I have heard, she writes about german minorities in Romania, and oppression and stuff like that. Sounds very depressing, to me.
Perhaps one should sandwich her between two helpings of Pratchett?
Or, you know, she might be an excellent writer, and the topics might be boring but the story could be interesting anyway? I just read kertész, and holocaust stories are really boring. But the story was nice.
I still vote for two helpings of Pratchett. It is a good rule for life in general.

Yep. Just keep selecting random people. It's not like there are writers who really deserve it.

I'm happy she won. I had heard of her and read some of her stuff. Excellent choice.
