Jumping between Malazan and Evans' The Coming of the Third Reich.

Malazan is overwrought. Evans is an excellent author. Once I finish his Third Reich trilogy, I think I'll read MacPherson's Battle Cry of the Republic.
I just finished the Ancillary Justice trilogy. I loved it. The ending was a bit abrupt, but that's okay.
"We feel safe when we read what we recognise, what does not challenge our way of thinking.... a steady acceptance of pre-arranged patterns leads to the inability to question what we are told."

It's a great series. I will pop it on audible if I'm having trouble sleeping. Helps me get to sleep. *NM*
