Recently, a friend of mine recommended and gave me his copy of St. Thomas Aquinas' Summa Theologica. I've started reading it, but quickly bogged down.
So I'm just wondering if anyone may have any tips for reading this book in a more digestible manner, or if I just need to buckle down and take notes?

Echoing Tom, if you aren't going to read it in Latin you're going to need annotations.

Honestly, you're better off reading a book about it than reading the thing itself.
