I agree that Gaiman's novels are not as strong as his comics work, and I also feel that his young reader novels (Graveyard Book, Coraline, Stardust) tend to be stronger than his adult novels, but The Ocean at the End of the Lane might be my favourite Gaiman novel yet. I devoured it and thoroughly enjoyed it.
