I guess that I'm inured to the costs of books, though. When I see a 76 euro price for a hardcover of medieval German (Mitteldeutsch) texts I just buy it without bothering to think about the cost. This is why I feel that fundamentally, I was right to choose the law as a profession and languages and books as a hobby.
