This morning I came across the blog post by Helen DeWitt linked below. She is absolutely right, of course; and my brain instantly connected that to one of the questions I put to Nick Harkaway in my earlier interview with the man:

What is the most undervalued book you know?

At the time I was very, very happy with this question, and the more I think about it the more I like it. And so I put it to you. Which book that you love would not make it to a top 20 list based on common consensus? What makes it good?
