Have to say (as you might have noticed) that it was becoming rather tricky to come up with introductions to these posts after four years... it's been a while since I wrote one, but I think Rebekah has the same problem. Saint Days are an interesting change.
When I started the posts at wotmania around 2006 or so, I think I just used the same header and barely said anything else because I knew it was hard to make the titles interesting.
And if Saint Days ever become boring, there are always the "this day in history" quips to use. Such as "On September 4, 476, Romulus Augustulus was deposed. This event triggered nearly 1500 years of people trying to restore the Roman Empire. Gibbon and others wrote on this. Have you read them? Or anything else?"
Je suis méchant.
