I have a general seething contempt for how English literature is taught compared to other related humanities' branches, so I think Borges' approach will be ideal. I'm also under no illusions that this might solely telegraph my ignorance of the field.
I don't think I can read Mr. Broges in Spanish because I'll start mixing it up with the Attic in my head. Too much compositional Greek made them occupy the same head space, which I think might have been a mistake on my part. It led to some amusing interactions with some old friends from Spain just recently, though, so there is that.

For myself, I'm reading some of the previous winners of the Italian literary prize, the Premio Strega. Probably won't read much else this month, at least with no plans to do so this month.
