I am comforted by the fact that the book ends well (Nationalist victory). I also have that History of Western Music, I want to start the Chanson de Roland, I have a book on German Foreign Policy 1933-1939 (Die Außenpolitik des Dritten Reichs, a somewhat unimaginative name), and two books on Italian history of the period (Il fascismo degli Italiani, L'Italia della Disfatta), and I might still try to finish Procopius. I was also going to read For Whom the Bell Tolls after the history of the Spanish Civil War - it seems like a good idea. I still don't know in what order I'll read what.
– Procopius
