Missed Last Unicorn, Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, the Doomsday Book, the Eyre affair (kept trying to put in Bronte), Outlander, Sunshine, and Elric Saga. I have genuinely never heard of any of those books or their authors. A few, like #100, space trilogy by c.S Lewis, I only got because I just started typing last names of authors on my shelf - that was pretty effective.

I've heard that Moorcock had a pretty unusual writing approach in the past.

Seems most of these Elric books don't go far beyond a hundred pages, so yeah... *NM*

Yeah. I don't really like fantasy but I know of the Elric series. It's well written, so they say. *NM*

I like the series, but I wouldn't use "well-written" to describe the 1960s-1970s books
