While I agree with your points, I'd also add that it doesn't help when many epic fantasy fansites are male-dominated
But as you mentioned, Erikson's readership seems even more skewed than that of Jordan or (debatably) even Martin. Which does seem unfair as in some ways he writes better women than either of them.
Are the Malazan books any good?
