Reviews of the 2012 National Book Award finalists (Poetry, YA, Non-Fiction, Fiction)

I'm currently in the midst of reviewing all 20 books that made the 2012 National Book Award shortlists for Poetry, Young People's Literature (YA), Non-Fiction, and Fiction (reviewing them in that categorical order - have 4 more fiction reviews to write today-Wednesday) in advance of the winners being announced on Wednesday, November 14.
I thought a few here might be interested in some of these (likely the latter two categories), so I'll take the time throughout the day today laboriously doing HTML conversions for the 16 reviews I've already written. I'll post them under subthreads devoted to each of the 4 categories, beginning with poetry.

It's a good primer read, but I suspect there are more in-depth studies of the Manhattan Project
